About Michelle

For me, it has been a privilege to treat adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse,

as well as other kinds of childhood trauma, abuse and neglect, for over 38 years.

I specialise in treating Complex Trauma and Dissociative Disorders,

including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

I have been in private practice in Bondi Junction for 28 years

and can offer stable, long-term treatment.

I approach my work with optimism, enthusiasm and empathy.

I know the importance of being believed and finding a therapist that feels right for you.

I work collaborativley; educating you and helping you understand the path to recovery,

whilst ensuring you always feel safe and are never re-traumatized.

There have been dramatic advances

in the understanding and treatment of trauma and dissociation in the past 20 years.

I ensure that my practice evolves so that I can

offer new evidence-based treatments that are more effective and efficient.

I am a member of

The International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD)

and

the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA).

In addition to working with clients,

I have  been extensively involved in the training of Clincial  Psychologists.

I lectured at Macquarie University for many years

and now, for several years, I have been lecturing at Western Sydney University.

Over the years, I have been a clinical supervisor and consultant

for many psychology teams in the public health system

and psychologists in private practice.
